Asus Eee mania is getting out of hand. We've had the Eee mini-laptop and the Eee PC and now we have the Eee Monitor.
Of course, it's not just a monitor but looks to be one of those All-in-One PC thingies - a type of hybrid monitor/PC promoting a lack of power and poor upgradeability that I never got my head around. Still, it'll give those offerings from HP and Apple's iMac something to worry about.
There's not too much detail on what exactly is under the hood but from the outside it's 19-20in display with a Web cam in the middle, 2 USB ports on the side, 4 on the back, two Ethernet ports, and what seems to be a complete lack of VGA and DVI ports - hence the All-in-One PC speculation. Can't see the power outlet though.
Interestingly, there's a Denon badge on the front which could point towards some decent amp and speaker technology on the inside. It seems too well appointed to be just a monitor and if current thinking is correct, it will be powered by Intel's Atom processor and start at around £250-300 - just probably not here.
