GTA IV has racked up almost 1 million sales in its first five days making it the biggest All Formats No. 1 game launch ever.
The figure of 926,000 games sold in 5 days represented a whopping 61.2% of all games software sold for that week. Chart Track estimates that those games translated into almost £40 million in sales revenue for Take 2/Rockstar. In fact, those sales of GTA IV alone were bigger than any one week of software sales this year, except for the first week in January.
